Pelvic Pain and Abdominal Visceral

Mercier therapy is a soft tissue visceral manipulative therapy technique used to help restore the health and general well-being within the female pelvis and abdominal viscera.

This gentle and non-invasive technique was created to help you reconnect to your wellness and to allow your pelvis and abdomen, a highly emotional space, to re-open to healing and balance.

Chronic pelvic pain can be debilitating and difficult to handle. Typically pelvic pain can occur within the structures surrounding the female reproductive organs such as the urinary bladder, bowel, musculature, ligaments, and bones. Also, in the case of Endometriosis pain could be coming from the reproductive organs themselves.

Women who have dealt with any of the following may suffer from pelvic pain:

laparoscopy, laparotomy,
D&C, LEEP, abortion, cystocele or rectocele repair, c-section,

bladder sling or hysterectomy
Vaginal childbirth
Sexual abuse trauma
Urinary tract or yeast infection
Endometriosis

Painful periods

We also address the Abdominal Viscera concerning the following:

Gastrointestinal Disorders
Diarrhea / Constipation / Hemorrhoids / Gastritis
Heartburn / GERD / Gas / Bloating / Cramping
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
Crohn’s Disease / Celiac Disease

Mercier Therapy for pelvic pain is done over a period of 4-6 weeks and is done in 6 individual sessions at 60 minutes per session. This visceral manipulative technique is done abdominally and requires NO vaginal work.
